Thanh Van Doan joins us today from Vancouver. Having gained a Master of Marketing from Sorbonne University, Paris, Ms. Doan has worked for nearly 10 years at RMIT Vietnam. Recently, she has relocated to Vancouver, Canada.

Here she shares about her experience about life during COVID-19 and her study experience.

Tell us about your study experience?

I had a pretty good experience during my 2 year course. I had a lot of research assignments, presentations and exams. My classmates were experienced in the marketing industry, so I also learnt from them.

What advice would you give to someone starting your course?

Be prepared for the 3 hour exam for every single module!

What is your job now?

Student Recruitment Representative.

How did you get from your institution to where you are now?

I was equipped with knowledge and experience thanks to my Master’s course which helped me find employment.

Describe a typical day in three words?

Learn something new!

Have you been affected by COVID-19 and what have you learnt about yourself?

Yes, I have. I’ve learnt that I’m more resilient and stronger than I thought.

Describe your life during this time?

I try to take a step at a time, enjoy every day, be familiar with a slower living pace as I’ve moved to a new location, Vancouver.

What about the future?

Things will be better!

What positives can be taken from the changes in our lives?

To develop a better understanding of ourselves, be more adaptive, realise which things are actually important in life and what isn’t!
